...who's A.J.???
UPDATE: Billary is making an appearance on The O'Reilly Factor tomorrow and Thursday. Yep, the O'Reilly Factor. The highest rated news show on TV. Thank you, please.
According to The Hill newspaper, Hillary Clinton has requested $2.3 billion worth of earmarks for New York in 2009. Are. You. Kidding. Me? That is almost three times as much dough as any senator requested in 2008. Wow. Come on, Hill...I know very well the troubles of New York state...particularly upstate NY. But $2.3 billion worth of pork?!? Wow.
Incidentally, Obama and McCain have each made it clear they will not ask for any pork for Illinois and Arizona, respectively.
UPDATE: Obama must've read my blog post this afternoon...he's having a major news conference to discuss Wright...
Speaking of Obama, he's going to be in serious trouble. Firstly, there is virtually zero chance that Hillary will beat him out. I don't care what anyone thinks about who is more qualified, who can "hit the ground running", who is vetted...yadda, yadda, yadda. Obama Mama has too many delegates, too many popular votes, and soon to be too many super delegates. The nomination is in the bag.
His problems are going to really surface when the general election campaigning kicks in. It's not going to matter if people think that McCain is going to be "four more years of Bush." What's going to matter is your average, blue collar Democrat/Independent, will see Obama for what he is: the inexperienced, elitist, leftist, big-government, income redistributionist that he is. This cat is much further to the left than a lot of people think. And this Jeremiah Wright thing is KILLING him. The good thing for Obama is that Wright is actually so far gone that it's very easy to see the man is a hate peddler. I don't think for a second that Obama dislikes his country, but his pastor of 20 years certainly does. And association with an idiot like Wright will make a lot of people question Obama's judgment.
I went to the West Blvd. library earlier today to vote in the Republican primary. This is the second time I've done early voting at this location. The people there are very nice, and very efficient. I did chuckle though when the guy was setting up the voting machine for me and as he was about to press the "Republican" button he said, "Hmmm...this is the first time this week that I've had to press that button." Needless to say, I was the only person in the place not voting for Barack Obama.
Maggie and Rotten have adjusted really well to Emily being in the house. Well, for Maggie it's been easy as we have her tied to a tree outside...on a short leash, for that matter.
